How to change rear Pinion Bearing ?

my rear end is making a lot of noise. I took it to a local mechanic and was told that the Pinion flange is shot , the differential bearings are shot and possible driveline carrier bearing noise noticable. Can anyone help me with the procedures to replace these items or is it best to just find a used rear end and do a complete swap ?How to change rear Pinion Bearing ?
This is a job that even most certified mechanics don't do. Mostly driveline specialty shops. As much of an art form as a skill. Main tools that are required that the average DIY'er would not have are precision measuring equipment known as dial indicators, which are rather expensive. Unless you have a hard time finding a used rear end, that would probably be the way to go. If not, then a driveline shop as mentioned before. A Dana/Spicer authorized repair facility would be preferred. Here is an article that covers this, in case you should decide to try, and/or for further info.

take it to a shop and let them do it as you need special gauges to do it and if you can find a used rearend in the junkyard that is also an option.
This is not a task for the home mechanic. Major job with specific tools not worth owning for a single application. Do the used rear end job.
