How to replace a spun bearing?

we have been replacing everything in the ngine to get this knocking noise to stop. replaced push rods, exhaust valves lifters gaskets shaved the heads and re-adjusted the rockers. rhe only thing left is to change the bearings incase one is spun. its a 97 camaro rs 3.8, can i replace the bearings without pulling the engine? if so how?How to replace a spun bearing?
You will have to pull the engine to replace crank bearings. If the bearing has ';spun'; it means it has stuck to the crank %26amp; is spinning in the con-rod. If this was the case you would have virtually little or no oil pressure. If the oil pressure is in the normal range then a wrist pin is the likely culprit. This would require complete disassembly %26amp; a full rebuild.

Don't know your car but if you can take off the oil pan, you can change out the rod bearings without pulling the engine. You do this by taking off the oil pan and then taking off the rod cap and push the piston up. Change out the two sides of the bearing and put it back together.

Drop the Crankshaft, Check all Rod and Main Bearing Journals %26amp; End Caps, If Scored, Have the Crank Turned, Replace Caps if Needed, ';May need to go to over sized Bearings'; [if the bearing spun the Crank %26amp; Cap are Damaged]
