How to change the bearings on a hotpoint wms38?

these later Hotpoint's are prone to bearing failure, and they are a pig to change just the bearings. the machines are designed so that you should replace the whole drum unit or at the very least the back half, but if you do this you will need a new seal with it and quite possible a heat gun as the 2 half's of the drum will not marry up correctly, plus it wise to change the inner drum with shaft as this will be worn too (shaft) as the bearings/shaft wear together. As i say if your going to change the whole unit, check out the price 1st as they are not that cheap and it could be a cheaper option to buy a new applianceHow to change the bearings on a hotpoint wms38?
Get a Haynes manual, that will give you the answer. DO NOT get your bearings from Hotpoint. (unless you keep spare arms %26amp; legs!!!)All bearings have a code on them (no, hotpoint do not make thier own, they buy in bearings, its cheaper) get the code, talk to your local Bearing Factors, and take his advice. Hotpoint will be using the cheapest varient (in terms of seals etc) Get the best varient you can, these guys start at a list price (cheaper than Hotpoint to start) then they start discount for this,,,,that...the other.
